Existing law specifies the number of judges of the superior court of each county. Existing law allocates additional judges to various superior courts pursuant to uniform standards for factually determining additional judicial need in each county, as updated and approved by the Judicial Council. This bill would allocate 50 additional judges to the various county superior courts, pursuant to the uniform criteria described above, upon appropriation by the Legislature in the 2021â€“22 fiscal year.
