Under current law, the legislative council committee of the general assembly is permitted to establish policies allowing legislative committees to take remote testimony from one or more centralized remote sites around the state. The bill would allow the executive committee of the legislative council to establish policies allowing legislative committees to take testimony from government officials and employees and the public.(Note: This summary applies to the reengrossed version of this bill as introduced in the second house.)
