Cannabis Transporting License

Abstract

Amends the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act. Provides that entities awarded a cannabis transporting license may defer paying the associated license fee for a period of no more than 2 years. Provides that from January 1, 2023 through January 1, 2028, the Department of Agriculture shall not issue any new transporting licenses. Senate Committee Amendment No. 1 Provides that from January 1, 2023 through January 1, 2025 (rather than January 1, 2028), the Department of Agriculture shall not issue any new transporting licenses.
